Issorcim of Hollant Beach is a peaceful beach is quite scenic, especially during the high tide, when the sea meets a freshwater stream flowing nearby. There is also a spring, near the church, at the edge of lush fields.

The Mormugao taluka has a strand of excellent beaches like Bogmalo beach, Issorcim, little Cola beach (a rich spawning ground of fish and crustaceans), Pale, Velsao beach and Cansaulim beach. The Vasco da Gama beaches of Cumberthi and Baina regrettably become absolutely polluted and all but destroyed.

The Salcete taluka accounts for Goa's widest and cleanest beaches. They are Gaudalim, Colva (Goa's largest beach), Benaulim, Mobor, Varca, Carmona and Cavelossim. Further south are more beaches as ancient as those of the Pernem taluka but much less frequented by foreign tourists, but mostly by adventurous campers. Here, the native regional nobility once possessed solitary storehouses and hovels that were used in the summer months.

There are also, in the same taluka of Canacona, the Palolem, Colamba, Talpona and Galgibag beaches. This is where Goa is terminated. Across is the Karnatakan beach of Karwar and, somewhere in between, lost in the sea, the Goan island of Anjediva which the Portuguese epic poet Camoens once described as the 'Island of Love'. The beaches propose a assorted and abundant supply of sea-food, still incredibly inexpensive and entirely fresh.
