Karapur is a village in the Bicholim taluka of Goa that has a lot of hills with thick woodlands. It is a village with a lot of greenery where the villagers mostly bank upon agriculture.
The Karapur village is very famous for a south Indian style dance known as Virabhadra. This dance is annually held in April and involves dancing with two swords in the hand along with a group chanting in chorus and dancing.
Rajasthani architecture is also depicted in the village of Karapur by a temple known as the Lord Vithal temple that was built in 1942. The villagers of Karapur also celebrate festivals such as Divjam, Shigmo, Tripurare Purnima and Dhalostav.
