Ibrampur is a small village of Goa situated in the Pernem taluka at the south eastern end. To the west it has a range of hills. The village has a lot of banana plantations and mostly the Mandolin banana popularly known as the Moira banana is grown here.
The Ibrampur village was formerly a Muslim colony and was later conquered by the Bhonsles. It is also known that the Bicholim conflict was triggerred here.
It is also known that once an ancient dam existed here and due to rampant mining it has been damaged.
The village of Ibrampur also has a school known as the Shri Sateri English High School. One can even go to see the 17th century Aldona Fort that is situated nearby.
