Mollem is a small village of South Goa situated at the foothill of the Sahyadri Mountain range at about 60 km from Panaji. It is a beautiful place where one can explore the bountiful nature of Goa away from the crowds and busy cities.

At Molem one can enjoy a lot as there are number of places to visit. It is known that the most ancient rocks in the Indian sub-continent are found in this region which are geologically classified as Trondjemeitic Gneiss with Rubidium isotope. They are known to be at least 3,600 billion years old.

The Bhagwan Mahavir National Park and Wild Life sanctuary are also situated here and are collectively known as Molem. One can even go birding in Molem as a variety of birds can be seen here such as Indian woodpeckers, Paradise fly catcher, Drongo, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Barbets, Great Indian Horn Bill, Kingfishers, Emerald Dove, and Wagtails.

The Shiva (Mahadev) temple of Tambdi Surla which is the only surviving structure of the Kadamba Yadava dynasty and the oldest temple of Goa, that survived from the Portuguese is also situated nearby and is yet another attraction here. Other places of interest situated near Molem include the Dudhsagar waterfalls, Devils Canyon etc
