Fishing at the beaches:
Fishing at the beaches in Goa is quite enjoyable as besides the rockfish, one can manage to catch some stingray and guitarfish. However it is good to choose the quieter and remote beaches so that no swimmers interrupt your catch.
Fishing at the tidal rivers:
Goa has a number of rivers where the angling sport can be enjoyed. Since these areas are low-lying the best fishing time would be at the top of the high tide or just before it. Here one often catches some Ladyfish or Catfish but some are lucky enough to get the local Barramundi at times.
Boat Fishing:
This is another form of fishing in Goa that can be enjoyed by hiring a boat. It includes two forms of fishing known as trolling and bottom fishing. Trolling is the lesser productive form of fishing but one can manage to catch some Salmon and the local Barramundi at times. Bottom fishing can be enjoyed at the shore where the rocky outcrops line up. Here one often catches the Rockfish and the occasional Snapper.
